What is Viber?

Viber is a VoIP telephony software, similar to Skype. You can use Viber straight after installation, either via the app on your smartphone or on your desktop or laptop PC. Viber is free for users communicating with each other. You only pay a fee if you want to use the calling function to ring someone outside of Viber (Viber Out). This way, you can make international calls with Viber at a low cost and in high quality. Corresponding plans are available from €5.99 per month. What's more, there's also a business solution where major corporations like Coca-Cola or FC Barcelona share information with their fans via Viber. Incidentally, the Japanese company Rakuten is behind Viber.
